Private Family Animal Experience
Explore nature with our team of naturalists through hands-on activities just for your group! Choose from any of the following adventures:
Guided Family Nature Hike: Explore our local habitats with a naturalist!
Raptor Adaptations: Learn about the amazing adaptations of owls, hawks, eagles, and falcons
Reptile and Amphibian Discovery: Learn about reptiles and amphibians with the help of biofacts and our animal ambassadors
Duration: 45 minutes - 1 hour
Guest Capacity: Family group up to 10 people, programs are customizable to fit your groups needs.
Location: Pozzi Education building and outdoors depending on topic selection

Private Family Planetarium Experience
Join us in our inflatable planetarium for an interpreter led guided tour of the solar system for your family! We may ask you to remove your shoes prior to entering the planetarium if weather conditions warrant it.
Duration: 30 - 45 minutes

Private Star Party at the Observatory
During this cosmic experience, we will guide you and your private group in views of planets, the Moon, and galaxies through the observatory’s vast collection of telescopes. You’ll also explore constellations through a guided tour, check out meteorites, and enjoy one-on-one time with an astronomer. This exclusive experience includes private access to one wing of the observatory for you and your guests to enjoy guided night sky viewing. Visits can be customized to meet your interests. Great for birthdays, family reunions, and corporate events.
Duration: 1 hour
Guest Capacity: Up to 25 people
Location: Outdoors at the observatory

Observatory to You
Let the observatory come to you for your own private experience at the location of your choice. A knowledgeable observatory staff member brings a high quality, portable telescope to you, and then guides you through the night sky, including a laser guided constellation tour.
This is a great choice if you have an event such as a wedding, family reunion, or company retreat where it may be difficult for you to get to the observatory.
Duration: 1 or 2 hour experiences
