Beard Family Botanic Garden

The Beard Family Botanic Garden highlights the diversity and beauty of Central Oregon’s flora. From woodlands dominated by Ponderosa Pines and Bitterbrush, marshy areas fed by the nearby Deschutes River, to the open rocky Sagebrush steppe, you can explore the unique ecoregions of  our high desert environment all in one place. In 2017, the Botanic Garden at Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory was restored thanks to a generous gift from the Beard family.
