Twilight Talks is an evening lecture series sponsored by the Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory. Though out the month we will host expert guests on various Natural History or Astronomy topics. These lectures will be offered in a combination of an in-person and online format, with some guests only being available for online presentations. Golden Eagles inspire awe and wonder with their size and grace. They are fierce hunters with talons larger than your hand, and a sharp beak capable of ripping thick hides. They are also gentle, thoughtful creatures who step carefully around their downy white chicks and choose to specialize in different prey based on the region they inhabit. Sunriver Nature Center & Observatory recently said goodbye to their long-time resident Golden Eagle Aquila. The first Twilight Talk of 2024 will highlight her amazing legacy as well as some information on what makes this species so astounding.
