SOLD OUT
Come join the staff at the observatory as we learn about our Sun and watch as it goes through an annular solar eclipse. Also known as a “Ring of Fire” eclipse, an annular eclipse is where the apparent size of the moon is smaller than the apparent size of the Sun. One of the important differences is that there is no safe time to look at the Sun during this eclipse without specialized equipment or eclipse glasses. At the observatory, we will supply eclipse glasses to all attendees, as well as having several telescopes set-up with a variety of solar filter to make a fun and safe eclipse viewing.
